ReWA’s team connected with 1,000 Ukrainian community members at the NWUkrainian Cultural Festival, sharing information about mental health, wellness, stress management, and ReWA’s services.

With support from staff across ReWA and Ukrainian-speaking volunteers, the team created a welcoming space where individuals and families could learn about available resources and connect with support. We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect with the Ukrainian community and make conversations about mental health and wellbeing more approachable.

Community + clean water careers: King County Wastewater Treatment Division has teamed up with Villa Comunitaria, ECOSS, and Refugee Women's Alliance (ReWA) through the Partners in Water program to increase access to King County jobs that protect public health and the environment! Now in its second year, the program is creating and testing new ways to help connect more young people and others from underrepresented communities to careers in wastewater and environmental fields.

Protecting our region’s water is a shared effort. The King County Wastewater Treatment Division plays an important role by collecting and cleaning wastewater and protecting rivers, lakes, and Puget Sound. Its work also includes recycling valuable resources, supporting climate resilience, helping communities protect water quality, and maintaining the regional wastewater system for future generations.
