April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month 💙

At MAAC, we stand with survivors, today and every day. Sexual assault is never the survivor’s fault. It is rooted in power, control, and the absence of consent.

Consent must be clear, freely given, and can be taken back at any time. Silence is not consent. Pressure is not consent. Fear is not consent.

We believe survivors.
We support healing.
We hold perpetrators accountable.

This month, we raise awareness, break the silence, and continue building safe, supportive spaces for our community.
If you or someone you know needs support, you are not alone. We are here for you.

Because of your support, we have been able to help thousands of families with emergency housing, financial assistance, and ongoing care. But the truth is, this work only continues because our community believes in it.

With Eid approaching, we are preparing for our Annual Eid Toy Drive, and this year we want to do even more for our families. For many of the children we serve, Eid gifts are not something their parents can easily provide because they are focused on rebuilding their lives and meeting basic needs.

Our goal is to make sure every child feels the joy of Eid, to wake up knowing their community sees them, cares for them, and celebrates them.

We’re asking our community to come together again, whether that’s donating toys, contributing financially, or helping us spread the word. Every small act of generosity helps us create moments of joy and dignity for families who deserve it.

When you support MAAC, you are not just giving a toy, you are reminding a child and their mother that they are not alone.
