Peninsulas Territory incorporating; Kitsap, Clallam, & Jefferson counties in youth leadership.

Peninsulas Territory in 2021 merged Mount Olympus District and Kitsap District into a single group to better serve the units in our area. Scouting is adventure, family, fun, character, leadership and so much more. In Scouting, boys and girls start with their best right now selves and grow into their very best future selves. It’s fun, hands-on learning and achievement that puts kids in the middle o

f the action and prepares them for today – and for life. Scout Oath: On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight. Scout Law: A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent. Scout Mission: The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. The Boy Scouts of America places the greatest importance on creating the most secure environment possible for our youth members. To maintain such an environment, numerous procedural and leadership selection policies and provides parents and leaders with resources for the Cub Scout, Scouts BSA and Venturing programs. The Chief Seattle Council membership department has been informed of an issue of people being directed to take the wrong SYT course. National is working on resolving the issue. Anyone who did not take the 90-minute course before using the renewal course needs to do so. The shortened version is good for renewal purposes AFTER once completing the FULL 90 minute course.
