We are only a couple weeks away from the 2nd annual Peninsula Fermentation Society All-American Homebrew competition.

Registration is open through September 11th, with drop off and shipping opening tomorrow, August 31st.

Judging will take place at on September 19th at Rainy Daze Brewing in Poulsbo, WA.

We will be utilizing electronic scoresheets this year.

Please go to our registration page to enter and/or sign up to judge or steward. If you are local to western Washington, please consider signing up to judger or steward. https://pfsamericanhbc.brewingcompetitions.com/

Drop off and shipped entries will be accepted until the close of business on September 10th for drop off, and the end of day on the 11th for shipping.

Awards will be held on Sunday, September 20th at 1 PM at Rainy Daze Brewing in Poulsbo. We will have a ton of prizes for winners present as well as door prizes that will be raffled off during the ceremony, courtesy of our sponsors.

We had a decent turnout for the August society meeting this month at Moment Brewing. We discussed the BJCP Mead Scoresheets, discussed 16C: Tropical Stout, and evaluated Meads - BJCP categories 1-4 for the this month.

We had three great meads to evaluate this month created by society members. In 3rd place - Phil and Jacob with their Chai Mead (M3B), in 2nd - Lou with his Peach Mead (M2D), and in 1st - also Lou, with his Peach Habenaro Mead (M4C).

Proudly announcing the 2nd annual Peninsula Fermentation Society All-American Homebrew competition.

We had a decent turnout for the June society meeting last week at . We discussed the BJCP Cider Scoresheets, discussed 1D: American Wheat, and evaluated Ciders - BJCP categories 1-4 for the this month.

We had four great ciders to evaluate this month created by society members. In 3rd place - Stuart with a Common Cider (C1A), in 2nd - also Stuard with an English Cider (C1C), and in 1st - Phil and Jacob with their Applewine (C3B).

We had a decent turnout for the May society meeting last week at Moment Brewing. We discussed Hop Water, discussed 1C: Cream Ale for our upcoming Same Recipe Challenge, and evaluated Category2: MX style International Lagers for the this month. Additionally, we were able to hand out a few awards.

We had seven phenomenal Mexican style lagers created by our society members. In 3rd place - Glenn and Sarafina with a Pale Mexican Lager, in 2nd - Phil with a Dark Mexican Lager, and in 1st - Dave with an Amber Mexican Lager.
