A big thank you to Alec and Katie from the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace Museum for taking us on a fascinating virtual tour of Savannah! 💙💛

We loved learning about the Savannah landmarks that helped shape the history of the Girl Scouts, discovering more about Juliette Gordon Low’s remarkable legacy, and reminiscing about some of our own scouting memories. We even tried our hand at semaphore signaling!

Thank you, Alec and Katie, for bringing Savannah’s history to life for our Hope Haven family and sharing the exciting news that Girl Scout cookies for dogs are coming! We can hardly wait for cookie season in February! 🍪🐾 🍪🐾💚

🏴‍☠️ Ahoy, mateys! In honor of this weekend’s Tybee Island Pirate Fest, we’re sailing back to Talk Like a Pirate Day at Hope Haven!

Our scallywags learned the history of pirates in the Lowcountry from the legendary Pirate Anne Bonny, feasted on some of Savannah’s finest fried chicken, generously donated by The Pirates' House, and then walked the plank! ⚓️

At Hope Haven, our social club for people living with early to mid-stage dementia, there’s always an adventure on the horizon, good company aboard and plenty of fun to be had, rain or shine! ❤️🏴‍☠️

At Hope Haven, volunteering means coffee, conversation, music, games, creative activities, and bringing joy to people living with dementia, while giving their family caregivers a much-needed break.

Once a week or once a month. YOU choose! Going out of town? No problem. You make your own schedule, and we provide the training. No experience needed!
