WTCSav was proud to join Governor Brian Kemp and Georgia's economic development delegation on the state's recent mission to Ireland, strengthening relationships that support international trade and collaboration.

Throughout the mission, the delegation met with partners across Ireland, including Wexford County Hall and Georgia Southern University's Wexford Learning Center. Partnerships like these continue to connect Southeast Georgia to opportunities around the world.

Antwone Mohammed serves as Programs and Community Development Manager at World Trade Center Savannah. In this role, he leads global education programs, international business networking events, partner engagement initiatives and community outreach efforts to strengthen the region’s connection to the global marketplace.

Antwone first joined World Trade Center Savannah as an intern, where he discovered the impact international business and trade have on the Savannah region. He later became the organization's first intern hired into a full-time position and now manages the internship program, helping students build confidence and prepare for their future careers.

His favorite part of his role is connecting people to ideas and opportunities that move the region forward. A particularly rewarding experience for him has been strengthening business relationships between Southeast Georgia and Ghana. Antwone believes his ability to relate to people from all backgrounds is one of his greatest strengths.

When he’s not at work, Antwone enjoys working on entrepreneurial ventures, learning about emerging technologies and teaching as an adjunct professor at Savannah State University. He loves traveling and exploring different cuisines, and is a classically trained pianist.

Fun fact: His walk-up song would be "This Is How We Do It" by Mitchell Jordan 🎶

Recently, the team welcomed a delegation from Curaçao to explore opportunities for collaboration in the Blue Economy, workforce development, education, trade and investment.

The visit included meetings with Savannah State University, the UGA Skidaway Institute of Oceanography, UGA Marine Extension and Savannah Technical College, helping strengthen international relationships and identify future opportunities between Curaçao and Southeast Georgia.
