THE CONDITIONS OF SEEING
CENTER presents the 2026 Award & Grant Recipients Exhibition, bringing together artists who use photography to investigate the conditions under which people, places, and selves become visible.

Across landscape, portraiture, staged tableaux, diaristic image-making, and socially engaged practice, these artists explore how seeing is shaped by political systems, inherited histories, environmental change, cultural assumptions, relationships, memory, and care.
