Our last free kids' sing-along of the year with Queen Bee Music Association is this Saturday, October 17! Join us from 10:30-11:15 a.m. to spend your morning moving and shaking outside by the Treehouse and Nature Discovery Area. 🎵

Kids' sing-alongs are free, though donations are appreciated!

Please note: Saturdays are busy, so carpool, ride your bike, and give yourself time to find parking. All children are welcome, though this sing-along is most fitting for young learners ages 0-5. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Each spring and fall, the night skies above the Southwest fill with hundreds of millions of migrating birds. Many of them use stars and other natural cues to navigate their route, but artificial light at night—particularly in larger, brightly lit cities—can draw them fatally off course. Fortunately, a few simple home lighting choices can help keep migratory birds safer.

Join Maricopa Bird Alliance for a free special event bound to leave you inspired. Celebrate photographer Dawn Kish as she presents her latest Glen Canyon project. Ms. Kish seamlessly intertwines art, adventure, and advocacy. RSVP at https://maricopabirdalliance.org/mba-field-trips/.

What began as a story for Arizona Highways Magazine has evolved into a motion picture film, educational Tad Talks, and now a traveling exhibit. This photographic and motion picture program explores the dramatic environmental transformation of Glen Canyon and Lake Powell, documenting the historic re-emergence of lost landscapes, ancient archaeology, and natural wonders as water levels recede. Centered on a multi-generational visual dialogue, the program bridges past and present by pairing the historic pre-dam photography of Tad Nichols with the modern, immersive photojournalism of Dawn Kish—who exposes the canyon with Tad’s original 4x5 Crown Graphic camera. Together, their lenses and shared artifact examine ecological memory, climate dynamics, and the ongoing rebirth of the Colorado River corridor through art and advocacy.
