We're welcoming another new teacher to our Fall Session schedule: Jacqueline Bell! She will be teaching the Kids Singing class on Thursdays at 4pm, starting September 17. We're so excited for everyone to meet her!

Jacqueline Bell, a classical vocalist originally from Santa Fe, is a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Music in Classical Vocal Performance from CU Boulder, where she studied under Abigail Nims and minored in Italian. Her operatic journey began in high school with the Santa Fe Opera Young Voices program, studying with Kathleen Clawson and singing with the Santa Fe Symphonic Chorus for three years. She appeared in Santa Fe Opera’s The Shoes of Santo Niño (2017), and the world premiere of Sweet Potato Kicks the Sun (2019). With CU Boulder’s Eklund Opera, Jacqueline sang in La Bohème and Cendrillon, and performed roles including the Dew Fairy in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel (2024) and Isabel in The Pirates of Penzance (2025). She is now teaching privately in Santa Fe as well as in teaching in collaboration with the Santa Fe Symphony and with Queen Bee Music School. Beyond music, she enjoys hiking, skiing, and climbing. Bell taught at the Santa Fe Climbing Center, and is a pinball enthusiast who often competes.

🎶 A new teacher is joining the Kids Sing Along crew!

Francesca Tharpe is a native Santa Fean who has pretty much been singing since birth. Throughout grade school she was in many choir and musical theater productions, going on to earn a bachelor's degree in musical theater performance from the University of New Mexico. Following graduation she decided to explore the craft of writing her own songs, as well as learning new instruments to aid in this new musical exploration. Currently she is the singer- songwriter for local alt-folk rock band Free Range Buddhas, where she also plays ukulele and guitar. Over the years she has also dabbled in keyboard, synthesizer, native flute, and various percussion instruments, though her first love will always be the voice.
