Basking Ridge Neighborhood Association

Neighborhood, located in south San Jose, CA, 95138 whose aim is to build community awareness.

The Basking Ridge Neighborhood Association (BRNA) fits within the boundaries of Tennant Ave/Gravina Loop to the north, Metcalf Road to the south, Highway 101/Basking Ridge Avenue to the west, and beautiful pastures to the east. Within those boundaries are over 928 homes, and nearby, scenic Coyote Creek trails, and Parkway Lakes. Many other conveniences are within a few miles including a local shop

ping mall, dental and post office, gym and restaurants, and Santa Teresa County Park. Rita Ledesma Elementary School is located at the center of the Neighborhood. We are a small community close enough to the city, but still a world away.

Unlimited wrist bands will be sold for $20 or $1 for individual tickets. Games are 2 tickets or $2. All volunteers will receive an unlimited wristband for each hour worked.

As a friendly reminder, the Mayor will be hosting his South San Jose Budget Town Hall this coming Monday, May 4th at 6pm at the Santa Teresa Catholic Church communiy room (794 Calero Ave., San Jose 95123). This is an important step in the budget process as the Mayor goes out to receive feedback from the community on the upcoming June Budget discussion.

Hello, Basking Ridge!
Don’t let the “Spring Forward” catch you off guard! This Sunday, March 8, we’re moving our clocks forward one hour.
While we lose a bit of shut-eye, we’re gaining that extra hour of golden light over the Santa Teresa foothills. It’s officially the season for longer evening walks around Basking Ridge Park and more time to enjoy our beautiful neighborhood views.

Pizza & Community Updates: This Wednesday! 🍕
Hey Neighbors—we’re getting together this Wednesday, March 4th, at the Ledesma School Library. We’ll have pizza and refreshments, so please bring a friend and come say hi.
The Details:
* 6:30 PM: Happy Half Hour / Meet & Greet
* 7:00 PM: Meeting Starts
* Where: Ledesma School Library (1001 Schoolhouse Road)
We have a lot to cover, including a “Call to Action” regarding Automated License Plate Readers and a guide on who to contact when the stoplights at Basking Ridge and Silicon Valley Blvd malfunction.
We’ll also be discussing the nearby EIH housing sites and hosting Rebecca Munson, who is running for County Supervisor (District 1).

We would like your feedback and input regarding speakers and events for the future, please complete our online survey by December 31 so that we can start planning for next year!!

In addition, this year was a special year in which BRNA received the Together SJ grant but this funding will not be available for 2026. While we have re-applied for the Beautify SJ grant for 2026, we are always seeking donations that support our general organizational expenses (meetings, website, snacks, etc.). If you would like to donate, we have a Venmo account or you can mail a check to Basking Ridge Neighborhood Assoc. (BRNA), 541 Hewes Court, San Jose, CA 95138

Neighbors, did you miss BRNA's August Emergency Preparedness Fair ?? You may want to take advantage and stop by this event TOMORROW Saturday, Nov. 8th - Personal Emergency Preparedness Workshop.

This is another opportunity for you to prepare for you and your family. San Jose Community Emergency Response Team (SJCERT) is sponsoring this event and have extended the invitation to Basking Ridge residents. Start about learning about first aid go bag kits and preparing for your go bag. The location is Los Paseos Park from 10am - 1pm.
