Meet Mark Arroyo — the guitarist behind The Mark Arroyo Trio's fully improvised sets around San Jose. What started as a one-off gig at Hotel De Anza's Hedley Club turned into a decade-plus project built on completely improvising every song, from James Blake to Lana Del Rey. Wax Poetics called his work a blend of narrative instrumentals and cinematic soul. This time at Summer Fest, Arroyo steps out solo, guitar out front and no trio behind him.

This weekend the Circle of Palms will have a barrier around the trees for the public’s safety. Several of the palm trees were recently found to be dead or dying. The City is working to remove the trees as quickly as possible. The San José Museum of Art will remain open and we look forward to seeing you!
