Our FUSD Classified union siblings were joined by allies from across Fresno County as we called on the School Board to do what is right: Save Our Schools, Protect our Jobs, and Respect Workers!

Our fearless Fix Kern leader and Kern County chapter president Genevieve is saying what the Bakersfield city council is afraid to say in public: make big daries and land developers pay their fair share of sewer rate increases.

The City of Bakersfield - Government councilmembers must go back to the drawing board and find reasonable approaches to invest in sewer infrastructure without balancing the total cost on the backs of families and seniors already struggling to make ends meet. Read the full op-ed in the comments.

Gig drivers in our union are hopeful that our streets are one step closer to being safer with stronger oversight and regulation of self-driving vehicles.

The California State Senate passed Senate Bill 1246, a commonsense bill to strengthen safety standards for self-driving rideshare vehicles and protect emergency response access on our roads.

Gig drivers see firsthand what’s happening on the streets every day. Innovation shouldn’t come at the expense of public safety. Robotaxis are already here — now the rules need to catch up to protect drivers, pedestrians, cyclists, and our communities.
