Hope Services More than 70 years ago, a group of parents of children with special needs felt their kids deserved the same opportunities as everyone else.

Among their earliest achievements was opening a preschool for these children, which later grew to be Hope.

Another South District picnic is in the books! 🌳🪩✨💙

Programs came together for a wonderful day of lawn activities, a delicious BBQ lunch, a lively dance contest, and a scavenger hunt, all set to great music.

This event would not have been possible without our staff and generous volunteers:
🎶 DJ Corona, who donated his services and kept the music going all day
🎲 Omega Nu's, Girlz Squad, and Sunset Rotary Club, who hosted our activity tables
🍔 Knights of Columbus and American Legion, who prepared and served our BBQ lunch

Thank you for your time, your energy, and your commitment to our community. We're grateful for you!

⛳ Kyoto Palace Japanese Steakhouse's Annual Golf Tournament and Silent Auction at Cinnabar Hills Golf Course was a hole-in-one for a great cause! Golfers tackled an on-course challenge for a shot at a Kyoto Palace gift card — and those who passed wore scuba shoes instead. Alex and Makena were on-site volunteering alongside Hope staff all day.

Thank you to Kyoto Palace, Cinnabar Hills Golf Club, and every golfer who played and donated. Your generosity funds vital programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community. 💙

At our Coast Cares Gala, Olympic gold medalist Kristi Yamaguchi shared a message that stayed with everyone in the room:

Everyone deserves the chance to chase their dreams and the potential to achieve them.

Hosted at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the gala reflected why sustaining a strong ecosystem of support and creating opportunities matters for our community and the people we serve. 💙

Let Love Flourish with Hope 🌈💙

We were proud to march in this year's Silicon Valley Pride Parade, celebrating this year's theme, "Flourish & Bloom," honoring the strength and resilience of the LGBTQ+ community as it continues to grow, thrive, and uplift one another. It's a theme that felt right at home with Hope's own mission, and we were honored to walk alongside our community in celebrating love, inclusion, and belonging.

Thank you to every volunteer and supporter who showed up to spread joy and put love into action alongside us. A special shout-out to Reggie from our Half Moon Bay office for the beautiful T-shirt and banner design that brought our message to life. Together, we're letting love — and Hope — flourish and bloom!

We are honored to congratulate Kim Tsujimoto on receiving the Capstone Initiative Leadership Award! In recognition of Kim’s leadership and commitment to uplifting others, she selected Hope Services as the recipient of a $20,000 award to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health needs.

Thank you, Kim, for choosing to share this recognition with our community and for helping create more opportunities for the people we serve. And a special thank you to Tasting Panel Magazine, Capstone Initiative Group, and Natasha Swords for this generous and meaningful gift.
