The San Jose Metropolitan Band (SJMB), a contemporary concert band founded in 1967, is seeking a visionary Music Director. Serving the Santa Clara Valley for over 50 years, SJMB performs a diverse repertoire including symphonic classics, contemporary works, seasonal music and marches. The band includes more than 50 members of all ages and provides an opportunity for South Bay residents to participate in large ensemble playing while also serving the community.
- Position Type: Part-time Contract (At-will).
- Compensation: Based on experience.
- Reporting: Reports to the SJMB Board.
- Location: Rehearsals are held Monday evenings (7:30 PM – 9:30 PM) at Obi Studios, San Jose, CA.
