It is with great sadness that we share that Vicci Tucci, MA, BCBA has passed.
Vicci was a respected figure in the field of behavior analysis, known for her pioneering work in developing the Competent Learner Model (CLM). With a career spanning over several decades, Tucci dedicated herself to improving the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities through evidence-based interventions.
Tucci's journey began with her background in special education and her early experiences working with children with autism and other developmental challenges. Through her observations and research, she recognized the need for a comprehensive and systematic approach to teaching and intervention.
In response to this need, Tucci developed the Competent Learner Model, a structured and individualized instructional framework designed to address the diverse learning needs of individuals with developmental disabilities. CLM emphasized the importance of building foundational skills and systematically shaping behavior to promote meaningful learning outcomes.
Tucci's contributions to the field of behavior analysis extended beyond the development of the CLM. She was also a sought-after educator, trainer, and consultant, sharing her expertise with professionals and organizations around the world. Through her work, Tucci inspired countless practitioners to adopt evidence-based practices and provide high-quality services to individuals with developmental disabilities.
Although the field of behavior analysis has lost a woman pioneer with Tucci's passing, her legacy lives on through her tireless work and the countless individuals whose lives have been positively impacted by her contributions.
