Another beautiful week of the SHG Feeding program in Bulacan!
It is always heartwarming to know that this initiative goes beyond nutrition, it brings peace of mind to the whole family.

Jenny, a mother of two scholars, shared, "I am very grateful for this feeding program. It is a big help to my family and my child's schooling."

Remea, another proud mom, added, "It's a huge help to my family and they also help support my child's education."

Project PEARLS was honored to attend the 2026 Filipino Diaspora Summit hosted by the Commission on Filipinos Overseas — an extraordinary gathering of Filipino communities from across the globe. From North America to the Middle East, Europe to Asia-Pacific, we sat alongside diaspora leaders who carry the Philippines in their hearts no matter where they've planted their roots.

We were invited by our dear advocate, Genevieve Villafranca Jopanda, whose belief in Project PEARLS and in the power of community moves us every time. Because of people like her, bridges are being built — between nations, between generations, between the children in Tondo and the Filipino in Toronto who still remembers what it felt like to need someone to believe in them.

At Project PEARLS, we've always known that our community doesn't end at the barangay gate. The diaspora is our extended family — and summits like this remind us that when Filipinos gather with purpose, something shifts.
We left inspired. We left connected. We left more committed than ever to the work ahead.

We were so happy to welcome Ms. Lauren Hoffman, Ambassador of The Ruth Sembrano Foundation, to our Tondo community!

It was a wonderful day of connection. Ms. Lauren joined our scholars for a fun art and coloring activity, and they all shared a good meal together. She also visited our GROW Center to meet and talk with our hardworking Nanays. On top of that, they brought athletic gear for the community to help our youth stay active and healthy!

More than these sweet moments, we are deeply grateful to the Foundation for sponsoring our Tondo Health Clinic. Because of their support, our families can get the medical care they need.

From nourishing meals and educational nutrition games to heartwarming distributions of food packs, slippers, school supplies, and backpacks. Every single moment was filled with love.

This Independence Day, the children in our communities reflected on what it truly means to be a good citizen through our Brain Booster program. Hearing their perspectives reminds us why investing in their education and character matters so much.

One of our bright scholars, 8-year-old Jamaica, shared her experience with us:

"I learned a lot from Brain Booster! I learned how to make the Philippine flag, and I understand more now how important it is as a symbol of our country. I also learned how to respect the Philippine flag and how to be a good citizen. Aside from that, I learned how important it is to work together and help my fellow scholars and friends.

I am so happy to attend Brain Booster because I learn a lot from the activities. I also became happy because I made many friends, and we always help each other and get along. Every time I attend, I become more hardworking, kind, and responsible. Thank you to the ates and kuyas who teach us!"

Jamaica and her peers are the future of our nation, and they are already proving that change starts with kindness, responsibility, and teamwork. But we cannot sustain these programs alone.

We are bursting with pride for our 8 Bulacan scholars for an unforgettable performance at ICONS: Sky Dance Avenue Manila's Annual Summer Recital 2026! Watching them conquer a massive stage with their dance routines makes us incredibly proud.

Happy 5th Anniversary to Sky Dance Avenue Manila! Thank you for embracing our scholars in your recitals since 2023. Our deepest gratitude goes to Teacher Sky Bautista and the entire SDA faculty. You have built their confidence to shine as bright students and amazing community members.
