September is Basic Education & Literacy Month
**Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and reach their full potential.**
September is Rotary’s **Basic Education & Literacy Month**, a time to recognize the powerful connection between education, opportunity, and a better future. Literacy is more than the ability to read and write—it is the foundation that helps people build confidence, pursue meaningful careers, support their families, and participate fully in their communities.
Through our Rotary clubs and The Rotary Foundation, we support teachers, provide educational resources, promote literacy programs, and create opportunities for children and adults who might otherwise be left behind.
When we invest in education, we invest in people—and when we invest in people, we change the future.
What can you do to help someone read a little better, learn something new, or believe a little more in what they can become?
Rotary doesn’t just imagine a better world. We help build it—one reader, one student, and one opportunity at a time.
