CEA*SD proposes a county-wide €annabis social equity program that centers repair, community governance, and survivor-led redistribution of resources.

Grounded in Total Health Equity—economic, environmental, human, and social—this program is a direct response to the War on Drugs.

This isn’t to create access, this is to transfer power.

Equity requires 75% of €annabis tax revenue be reinvested in this work and governed by impacted communities.

When you talk about equity, the first thing you must do is learn what it is.

The picture below is a great place to start. Equality can be considered in two different ways. Equality 1.0 (left) means we all recieve the same resources. Equality 2.0 is the result of Equity, meaning we all recieve different resources depending on our individual needs so that the end result is equality(right).

It is a clear reminder that “well meaning” laws, like prop 209, obstructs our ability to achieve the left picture let alone move towards equity.

If we want repair and restitution, we must address the laws that will stop that from happening.

As it’s written, prop 64 and prop 209 make it nearly impossible for America to allocate resources based on past neglect, specifically because past neglect has been based on race, and no “legal benefit” can.
