Our beautiful city and its residents need protection from the harmful pollution emitted by warehouses and diesel trucks. In portside neighborhoods, diesel emissions account for 84% of the cancer risk from air pollution, and 79% in border cities. In communities like Barrio Logan, asthma emergency room visits are more than double the county average, and asthma hospitalization rates are among the highest in the state.
🚨 WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🚨
This Thursday, May 14th, the San Diego Air Pollution Control District will vote on whether to move forward with an Indirect Source Rule, or ISR. This vote comes at a critical moment as federal clean air protections are being weakened and long-standing pollution safeguards are being rolled back or left uncertain. Visit bit.ly/apcd-vote to submit a comment and urge the Air Pollution Control District to pass an ISR.
