🇺🇸 IAM VSO Veterans Support Day 🇺🇸

We’re hosting a VSO Veterans Event to help IAM members who are veterans file or update their VA disability claims.

A union brother who is VA-accredited will be on site to help you submit your claim and guide you through the entire VA process — start to finish.

If you’re a veteran and need help:
✔️ Filing a new claim
✔️ Increasing your current rating
✔️ Understanding the VA system
✔️ Updating or reopening a claim

This is a great opportunity to get one-on-one assistance from someone who knows the process and has your back.

📅 March 6, 2026
⏰ 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM
📍 KM Union Hall – 5148 Kearny Mesa Rd, San Diego, CA 92111

Bring your VA paperwork, laptop (if you have one), and any questions.

Let’s make sure our veterans get the benefits they’ve earned. 🇺🇸

🇺🇸 This Memorial Day, We Remember and Give Thanks 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication to protecting our freedoms will never be forgotten.

As we remember our fallen heroes, we also recognize the lasting impact their service has had on the values we uphold in our communities, including the labor movement. Many veterans have returned from service to become active members and leaders within unions, bringing with them a deep commitment to solidarity, justice, and the well-being of their fellow workers.

Labor unions and the military share a common foundation: standing together, fighting for each other, and ensuring no one is left behind. The freedoms we enjoy—including the right to organize and collectively bargain—have been safeguarded by the sacrifices of those who served.

This Memorial Day, we honor their legacy by continuing the fight for dignity, fairness, and respect in the workplace for all.

Thank you to all who served—and to those who gave everything. We remember. We are grateful. We carry your legacy forward. 🇺🇸

Greetings members! I wanted to clarify as it seems some people are still under the assumption that the contract that was voted on was agreed upon by the negotiating committee. Let me be clear, the contract WAS NOT ENDORSED and the committee wishes Solar would have bargained longer. Once we started presenting our justifications for Economic proposals that's when they used their Last Best Final. Below is the mass text that went out to members if you are not subscribed to the mass text I highly suggest you stay informed. Text UNION to 201-971-5245
Throughout the bargaining process, your Union and the Company met to exchange proposals and work toward a fair and just agreement. As we entered the final phase focused on economic issues the Company presented what is known as their Last, Best, and Final Offer.
This term means the Company has indicated it is no longer willing to make further changes at the bargaining table.
When a final offer is made, The Union is LEGALLY OBLIGATED to present it to the membership for a vote.
That was the package you were recently asked to vote on.
It is important to note: This was NOT a Tentative Agreement between the Company and your Negotiating Committee. The Union clearly communicated that it would be up to the membership not the committee to determine the outcome of this contract.
Now, let's move forward with a renewed focus on organizing, growing our membership, and building a stronger, more powerful Union together.
In Solidarity,
Your Negotiating Committee
