Mandate Project Impact (MPI) is a San Diego–based 501(c)(3) STEAM education and workf
orce development program founded in 2014. MPI was created to advance the educational and training initiatives of its collaborative partner, M.A.N.D.A.T.E. Records, and operates within a fully equipped creative suite that includes a Studio Engineering Booth, Studio Vocal Booth, Media Lab, Radio Studio, Conference/Training Room, and administrative offices. Through our internship and job-training programs, young people gain real-world experience by working on active projects, major events, and day-to-day operations. MPI is honored to partner with government agencies, corporations, community organizations, and small businesses—providing interns with hands-on learning through professional opportunities in:
• Television, social media, community service, and live-stream video production
• Music, radio, and multimedia production
• Graphic design and editing
• Marketing and promotions
• Concert and major event production
MPI exists to create meaningful, lasting impact in the San Diego community by empowering urban youth and young adults with pathways to careers in the entertainment and media industries. From the beginning, our vision has been to equip the next generation of creative professionals with the skills, mentorship, and confidence they need to thrive. To date, MPI has received support from county, city, and federal agencies, as well as corporate partners and donors, to help fund training and development opportunities for our interns. THE NEED
