Our Cool River Education Team had a great time teaching students about the San Diego ecosystem and its wildlife through fun hands-on activities at Nipaquay Elementary School's STEAM night last week! 🌳🦇

Thank you to the Thomas Ackerman Foundation for their generous grant support, helping us partner with the school to ensure students can experience high-quality, hands-on STEM learning and connect with the amazing river in their own backyard.

Join the River Trail Action Crew for a targeted data collection ride to help boost trail visibility and support the San Diego River Park Foundation!

🚴‍♀️ Friday, May 29th, 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM in Mission Valley

🚴The Mission: Ride the trail, map visitor bulletin boards, and audit existing signage to improve community connection.

🎉The Payoff: We’ll finish up at Grant Park and pedal over to NOVO Brazil Brewing (just a 5-minute ride away) for an optional post-ride social with fellow San Diego River Days volunteers!

Come dance for the river this Saturday, May 23rd, at 10 am! 🌊

We are so pleased to be the selected beneficiary for this Dance for the Earth session and are grateful to the Dance for Earth community for supporting the health of our local watershed. Dance for Earth is a by-donation morning dance party class FUNdraiser benefiting local organizations that support our only home.

Together, we will connect to our first dance partner (the Earth) and our community through somatic practices. We’ll shake, breathe, ground down, and shift around, solo and together.

What to expect:
* Movement warmup
* Physical tasks and coordination exercises
* Repetitive movements
* Witnessing (seeing and being seen)
* Pure play
Class will be led by professional dance artist and movement facilitator Tess Collins ().

* When: May 23rd | 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. (arrive by 9:45am for checkin and prompt start)
* Where: San Diego Made Factory in Barrio Logan
* Support: Proceeds benefit The San Diego River Park Foundation ().

Note: No dance experience is needed. Everybody is welcome!
