This Memorial Day, Trinity remembers those who died in service to our country, including Capt. Henry T. Waskow ’39, a World War II officer and Trinity history major from Belton, Texas, who died in 1943 while serving in Italy.

His story was later chronicled by war correspondent Ernie Pyle in “The Death of Captain Waskow,” one of Pyle’s most famous and widely reprinted columns.
