Eco Allies

Eco Allies Eco Allies is a club on the gloriously green campus of Trinity University in San Antonio, TX. Our club mission is to promote green consciousness on campus.

Our mission is to promote green consciousness on campus as well as the greater San Antonio community. We run the campus community garden, the produce of which we currently donate to the San Antonio Food Bank - but we have greater plans for it! This year we hope to focus on sustainable garden skill development and and conservation volunteering with various programs in the San Antonio area, includin

g the Green Spaces Alliance and Headwaters Coalition - but we're not just limited to strictly 'green' issues; many of us are also interested in how this interacts with politics, social issues, food, and health. We are currently under the process of expanding the garden space, which when completed at the end of August, will need a lot of work to cultivate, so we need as much student help as we can get in the coming year - let us know if you want to pitch in! No experience necessary. We also hope to collaborate with other campus organizations for joint events and campaigns, so if you have any ideas, let us know!

A team of six trained birds — rooks, actually — is collecting paper and cigarette stubs at the Puy du Fou park in western France. They drop the trash into a container in exchange for food.
