Join us NEXT SATURDAY for a workshop, All About Trails at Bulverde Oaks Nature Preserve🌳 Learn the basics of trail building. Help widen the first 0.05 miles of the Mail Trail at the preserve, to make it more accessible for everyone. We'll widen the trail to 4 feet wide, intentionally clear brush and vegetation, and mulch the trail so it's flat and stable.💐

Green Spaces Alliance joined our partners at the Arboretum’s first ¡Viva El Bosque! We had such a great time building fairy houses with all our new friends who stopped by the booth - using creativity (and native plant materials from our preserve!) to design magical little sanctuaries. We had so many fairy houses made to protect our local forests and creeksides.🌼 Vote in the comments for your favorite fairy house! Huge thank you to Blooming With Birdie, Latino Outdoors, and the San Antonio Arboretum for hosting such a fun and inspiring event - we loved being part of it!

Women in conservation🎉
Recently Bulverde Oaks hosted the first of many Women in Conservation meetings! Gathering together in the beautiful nature preserve, this meeting cultivated a network of other women working in the field. We shared experiences, ideas, and made deeper connections through our unique roles to advance conservation in the San Antonio region. Thank to everyone who joined us and we hope to see you again!

Happy Earth Day 🌎
We hope you take today to celebrate the outdoors and reflect in the beauty of our planet. Here at GSA we are working hard on protecting green spaces right here in Central and South Texas. GSA’s conservation efforts have protected over 67,000 acres of lands in the region. 🌱 We support a vibrant network of 28 community gardens and engage with over 2,000 people annually in educational programs - cultivating that “love of the land” that leads to dedicated stewardship. Together, we continue to cultivate greener, healthier, and more connected communities in the greater San Antonio region!

Bulverde Oaks Hike Recap🌲
Last Saturday, GSA hosted a Riparian Conservation Nature Hike.🌻 Attendees enjoyed the fresh spring growth of beautiful wildflowers blooming and wildlife buzzing all around! We also highlighted the importance of riparian conservation, the vital restoration work happening right here in our community, and how these efforts connect us all.🌞
