Join us for a presentation that explores the history of Black people in Texas and the powerful impact of storytelling as we celebrate Juneteenth. There will be video, book recommendations and discussion of the songs, spoken word and personal narratives of Black Texans. Light refreshments will be provided.
Zenobia Anderson is the winner of the 2025 African Diaspora Award for her upcoming poetry collection “Mosaics of the Mother,” and will share her insights in understanding the importance of Black Storytelling and Juneteenth today.
