Cormick Scanlan Memorial Foundation

Cormick Scanlan Memorial Foundation The "Live Like Mick" Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity. Neuro-vascular bypass surgery on December 15th was unsuccessful and more strokes occurred.

We aim to enrich our Saint Paul, MN community and beyond by supporting non profit organizations that carry on Cormick Scanlan's legacy. After a day of regular high school and athletic activities, 16 year old Cormick Scanlan suffered a stroke on the evening of December 6, 2022. An angiogram revealed that he had a rare condition called Moyamoya disease, in which the carotid arteries become blocked a

nd blood flow to the brain is restricted (causing the brain to stroke). Cormick passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Christmas Day, 2022. This foundation was created in honor of Mick who we miss every, single day. Donations will focus on the advancement of Moyamoya research and early detection, along with the promotion and sponsorship of Saint Paul, MN youth athletics.

A big thank you to all the volunteers, sponsors and 325+ attendees of the 2025 Cormick Cup Golf + Gathering on August 2nd. As a result of our community's incredible generosity, over $110,000 was raised! To cap off the fundraising campaign, an extraordinary donor came forward to double our amount to $210,000! Beyond humbled. We miss Cormick and grieve every day. The support we receive enables us to honor Mick in a meaningful way and ensure his memory and legacy continue to inspire others. πŸ’œ
