Wonderlust Productions

Wonderlust Productions Wonderlust Productions illuminates a community’s story through live performance, mixing community members with professional artists.

Past Projects include: The Capitol Play Project and The Adoption Play Project

THE CAPITOL PLAY PROJECT
Site-specific live performances, exploring the world of our capitol through story, song and movement. Like the Veteran’s Play Project by the same company, content will be generated with, and performed by, a cross-section of the capitol’s community—from politicians and staffers to civil servants,

building maintenance crews, security, lobbyists, researchers, reporters, and citizens who come to the capitol to advocate. Behind the doors, beyond the politics, into the heart of a place that is defined by governance, but driven by the people who work there every day. THE ADOPTION PLAY PROJECT
A site-specific live production focused on the experience of adoption in Minnesota. The play’s content will be generated with, and performed by, local members of the adoption community - including all generations, races and ethnicities, genders, and all perspectives on the process from adoptees, adopters, birth parents, siblings, foster parents, health care providers, and program administrators.

Hidden Herald play The Surveyor’s Debt by Anthony Albright tells the story of what a US Surveyor encounters when he tries to draw a settlement line through Wicahapi (Mounds Park). You can find the play on a sticker outside the Minnesota Museum of American Art, but Hidden Herald fan Jamie Daniels biked out to the park to listen to the play right where it was set!

Listen to the play here (maybe from Wicahapi!) https://wlproductions.org/hhs3-play-the-surveyors-debt/

Our scavenger hunt for Hidden Herald is now live! Use the clues here to find the Hidden Herald plays, accessible via QR code on stickers on the ground. Answer all the questions correctly, and be entered in a raffle to win tickets to St. Paul businesses like the History Theatre and Lost Fox!

The funding landscape is shifting. Support we previously felt we could rely on is being spread thin as federal funding is cut across the board.

Please consider making a donation of $10, and sharing this and letting others know what the power of the Wonderlust community is.

The piece will be performed by singers from 8 years old to over 80 from all four of the Chorale’s choirs on Sunday May 3, at 4 pm at Roseville Lutheran Church. Tickets run on a sliding scale from $0-50.

Becky is an ensemble member and composer who has written music for Hidden Herald, Our House: The Capitol Play Project, Lost and Found, and more.
