STAR House is a 501c3 crisis nursery in Saint Paul, Minnesota, which exists to provide a temporary home-away-from-home for children and supportive services for families.

“Can we have this couch?”

Sometimes the biggest adventures start with a kid asking a simple question.

Today, that question turned into a brand-new couch delivered to a family, thanks to a few folks at STAR House, JK Movement Project, and The Sanneh Foundation

We love what can happen when people hear a need and say, “Let’s figure it out.”

WE MADE IT!

We set a goal of $50,000 to help STAR House get back on its feet and reopen our doors.

And today, we reached it.

Every gift, share, word of encouragement, and show of support helped get us here.

The doors are open. The kids are back. And STAR House is home.

We’re hiring!

STAR House is looking for Child Direct Care Providers.

Current openings:

2nd shift: Fridays & Saturdays, 2:00–10:30 p.m., every other weekend
Pool/on-call: Pick up at least 2 open shifts per month, with opportunities for a regular schedule

We’re looking for dependable, compassionate adults with experience working with children who want to help create a safe, nurturing temporary home away from home for children birth through 6 years of age.

This is not an entry-level childcare position.
