St. Augustine Humane Society The St. Our programs are designed to strengthen human-pet relationships by reducing the need for pets to enter shelters.

Augustine Humane Society is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that offers programs and resources which help pets stay with their loving families instead of being relinquished to animal shelters. Augustine Humane Society promotes healthy and lifelong pet ownership by serving the medical and rehabilitative needs of companion animals in our community. Pirates, kittens, costumes, and Halloween fun! The St. Augustine Humane Society had a fantastic time at the St. Augustine Aquarium's Halloween Night & Day Under the Sea celebration!

Our Community Relations Director, Lynn Washington, stole the show in her pirate costume, while Maya, Ramsey, and the adorable black kittens brought their own special charm to the festivities. There were plenty of smiles, games, prizes, and opportunities to share our mission with visitors.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to meet our furry friends, try their luck at our Bloody Cauldron and Spin to Win games, and support the St. Augustine Humane Society.

We're grateful to the St. Augustine Aquarium for inviting us to join the celebration, Paradise Poochie, Saint Augustine for their support, and our wonderful volunteers who helped make the day such a success.

It was a Halloween adventure worthy of the high seas, and Lynn certainly looked the part!

A little Halloween mischief is brewing under the sea, and the St. Augustine Humane Society is joining the fun!

Join us Saturday, October 31st, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the St. Augustine Aquarium, 2045 State Road 16, for Halloween Night & Day Under the Sea!

We'll be there with some four-legged friends and a special visitor from the high seas! A distant relative of Tolinar Rex the Pirate will be on hand to share tales of adventure and introduce visitors to the many ways the St. Augustine Humane Society helps pets and their families throughout our community.

We'll also have some Halloween fun of our own!

Try your luck with our Bloody Cauldron for a $5 donation, or give our Spin to Win wheel a whirl for a $10 donation. You'll have a chance to win a 2027 Pin Up Paws “Center Stage” calendar, gift baskets, and other great prizes!

You can also pick up your 2027 Pin Up Paws calendar for a $12 donation. And don't miss our scavenger hunt, complete with candy bags for the kids and the young at heart!

The aquarium's two-day Halloween celebration begins Friday, October 30th, from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m., with mermaids, underwater pumpkin carving, trick-or-treating, shark and stingray encounters, and more.

For aquarium tickets and event information, visit the website listed on the event flyer.

We hope to see you Saturday for a frightfully fun day supporting pets and the people who love them!

They rule the house, ignore our commands, and somehow convince us we're the lucky ones. Happy National Cat Day!

From playful kittens to independent seniors, cats have a way of keeping us entertained, making us laugh, and reminding us who's really in charge of the household!

Today is a great opportunity to celebrate our feline friends and the joy they bring to our lives. It's also a reminder that every cat deserves a safe, loving home and access to the care they need to stay healthy.

At the St. Augustine Humane Society, we're committed to helping cats and their families stay together through low-cost veterinary care and programs designed to prevent relinquishment to shelters.

Give your favorite feline a little extra attention today. Of course, only if they're in the mood!

Caring for pets also means supporting the people who love them.

The St. Augustine Humane Society is proud to partner with The Street Dog Coalition, an organization dedicated to providing free veterinary care and related services to pets of people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

During a recent clinic hosted at our facility, volunteers helped 18 pet parents and their 23 pets, including 20 dogs and 3 cats. Ten free spay/neuter vouchers were also distributed.

Our Dr. Rockey and members of our veterinary team volunteer their time to provide essential services, including examinations, vaccinations, flea and tick prevention, microchipping, and access to spay/neuter surgeries.

The Street Dog Coalition's mission is "to provide free medical care and related services to pets of people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, using a One Health approach to street medicine."

We're grateful to the dedicated volunteers and everyone involved in making these clinics possible. Together, we're helping people and their pets stay healthy and remain together.
