One trapped cat changes an entire colony.

TNVR works by breaking the cycle at the source. Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return. No litters. No suffering. Just a stabilized population and a healthier neighborhood.

Since 2019, Murphy's Kittens has helped over 1,000 community cats right here in St. Augustine.

If you're seeing strays in your area, we can help.

Reach out at murphyskittens.org.

One cat trapped. Hundreds of kittens prevented.

That is the math behind TNVR. A single unspayed female can be responsible for dozens of offspring in just one year.

We trap, neuter, vaccinate, and return community cats to their outdoor homes. It is humane, proven, and it works.

Since 2019, Murphy's Kittens volunteers have been doing this work right here in St. Augustine, one cat at a time.

If you have cats in your neighborhood and don't know where to start, we do.

Hello all! Sorry we’ve been out of touch, it’s been a very busy trapping season!

We are looking for someone who may want to buy our anesthesia machine from the old clinic. It has never been used.

We will be putting all proceeds toward our trap, neuter, return efforts and operating costs.

Please share!

Thank you!

He’s not our usual type of rescue, but this sweet boy was found in the F section of Palm Coast this morning.

He does not have a collar, nor is he microchipped.

We will do a standard 7 day hold, if no one claims him, he will be adopted out.

If you know this boy, please call or text 904-552-1904.

Thank you!

Meet Celeste and Estelle!

They are approximately 2.5 years old. They are both female and they are a bonded pair.

They are being returned to us due to human allergy problems.

We are looking for fosters, foster to adopt, or adopters for these sweet girls! THEY MUST STAY TOGETHER.

They will be arriving at their foster home in Palm Coast, FL tomorrow evening.

They will be seeing the veterinarian Saturday afternoon.

If you would like to help with these babies, please email [email protected].

In your email, tell us about yourself and the other people living in your home. Tell us about your experience with animals and any pets you currently have.

We will conduct a home check prior to adoption. Renters will need a permission form signed by their landlord. We will provide this form if necessary.

Adoption fee is $50 for both cats. They will be fully vetted at the time of adoption.

Hello everyone!

We know it’s been a while, but we haven’t forgotten about you!

The last 12 months have been a roller coaster ride, for sure.

Last February, we moved out of our shelter building due to the high cost of overhead.

We embarked on a mission to find property for a sanctuary, but after 12 months, we still have not found a suitable property for the cats that we can afford.

In the meantime, we needed to find a solution for the dozens of un-adoptable cats that we housed in our previous shelter. So, we established our hospice program. Each cat has been placed in permanent foster due to medical issues with the expectation that our organization will continue to contribute to their care.

If you would like to help us continue to care for these cats, you can donate to https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=B7Z8C8J3HLESW .

At the end of last year, we received a very generous donation of $20,000 for the purpose of growing our trap, neuter, return program.

So in 2025, our mission is to spay and neuter as many cats as we can.

If you know of cats or colonies of cats that need to be fixed, please fill out the form on our website www.murphyskittens.org. Our organization will cover the cost, and if needed help with providing equipment and trapping. If you would like to help us continue this program, you can donate to https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=WJE6GZ2NMEZFQ .

We are also working to establish a fund to assist with veterinary bills for urgent cases. This fund will provide assistance for half of treatment costs, up to $500 for the treatment of acute, curable illnesses and injuries in otherwise healthy cats. The goal of this program is to prevent surrender due to not being able to afford treatment.

If you would like to help us establish this program, please donate to: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=ATA9JT5PCJN64 .

Thank you all for your continued support as we do everything we can to help the cats of Northeast Florida.
