We had a great time at The Wobbly Whale with a few pints from Belhaven Brewery. A packed lively crowd on their way south for Wednesday’s match with Brazil. First taste of Florida indeed! We hope it was memorable! And we’ll join you in Miami.

A big thanks to the Miami Herald for their shout out, as the band prepares to head south to play for the Tartan Army at Mickey Byrnes Irish Pub In Hollywood; the headquarters for the Tartan Army in Miami!!

About 20,000 kilted Scotland fans flood South Florida for the World Cup, filling pubs, attending a Marlins game and supporting local charities.

Fifty-eight bands competed in the five grades at the 2026 Chicago Scottish Festival at a hot and sunny DuPage County Fairgrounds, where reigning World Champions Inveraray & District won both Grade 1 events, with 16 firsts from the eight-judge panels, against St. Thomas Alumni from Houston.

What a day! We couldn’t be more proud of our Grade V band who took 1st place across the board in Chicago!
This group was put together 7 months ago, and thanks to the incredible dedication of every single member, their hard work was realized in the biggest the band has ever taken part in.

None of the would have been possible without the constant support and tuition of Adrian Melvin of Melvin Reeds.
His phenomenal reed and chanter craftsmanships, coupled with the constant tuition and guidance have been beyond helpful!

It took a week to recover, but we are happy to share our results from a great day at the Dunedin Highland Games & Festival!
It was a fantastic day for the band and its members.
None of which would have been possible without the the help of our dear friend and mentor, Adrian Melvin of Melvin Reeds.
Such a long list of accomplishments!

Judah- 1st place grade 5 piping (AGL)- His second comp ever and his second 1st w/ AGL
Colin- 1st place 2/4 March piping Grade 4
Colin-1st place 2/4 March snare Grade 4
Jon- 1st place Grade 4 bass-Also his second comp ever and second 1st place finish
Ruairidh- 1st place 2/4 March snare Grade 3 (his first competition in 18 years!)
Duane- 1st place Amateur Drum Major (AGL) His first competition EVER

Our phenomenal Grade 5 band won the day with 6 pipers! Two 1sts in piping a 1st in ensemble and 2nd in drumming!

Grade 4 took 2nd place across the board, but what matters most, is we went out and played a set that both the pipers and drummers could be 100% proud of!
We put out 6 pipes against a strong City of Dunedin Pipe Band, and we never flinched, and played with purpose and confidence!
