On Monday Troop 243 held our last Court of Honor for the 2025-26 Scouting year. Together with our “sister troop,” we celebrated our many achievements, including leading three boys in taking the oath to join the Scouting movement, handing out 12 merit badges, recognizing seven Scouts for achieving the next rank (including one Eagle!), honoring our wonderful volunteers by giving out Service Stars, and saying goodbye to a Scout who is moving. It was a packed evening, with good food and good fellowship!

This morning two of our Scouts attended a coin collecting merit badge workshop held by Mr.
Tony Bonaro, a longtime Scout and coin expert. They learned a lot about the art of coin collecting and satisfied the requirements of the coin collecting merit badge! Many of our Scouts have attended Mr. Bonaro’s workshops over the years - its volunteers like him that make Scouting such a great program!
