Our troops held their Fall Court of Honor during their last August meeting, and we couldn’t be prouder of all the merit badges, rank advancements, and other awards that were handed out! Our Scoutmasters nearly ran out of breath after reading off those long lists. Most of all, we were thrilled to welcome ✨six✨ new Scouts into our troops! What a great night.

Ancient City Scouts would like to send out HUGE congratulations to Troop 243 member Sully, who placed #1 in online popcorn sales in the entire North Florida Council! Out of the 17 counties, over 260 active units, and 7,200 registered youth in our Council, Sully came out on top! We couldn’t be prouder!
🍿 All of our Scouts are working hard to pay their own way through popcorn sales! If you’d like to support one of our Scouts, please drop us a comment! Delivery is available for Saint Augustine residents, and online ordering is also available.

Ancient City Scouts is gearing up to do another round of flags for Labor Day. Here are some facts about the Flag Display Fundraiser that we offer to our community:

🇺🇸Our Flag Display Fundraiser is a service we offer to all St. John’s county residents.
🇺🇸The money raised through this fundraiser helps our scouts offset the cost of uniforms, camping trips, troop equipment, and summer camp.
🇺🇸The troop retains a portion of the funds to help offset the cost of purchasing new flags when flags require retirement.
🇺🇸When our flags are no longer suitable for display, they are retired according to the US Flag code.
🇺🇸We also collect flags that are in need of retirement during our flag placements as an additional service to our community.

Later today troop 243 will welcome another Eagle Scout into their ranks. Earning the rank of Eagle isn’t just an award-it’s a standard you carry for the rest of your life. Congratulations to Jack for achieving the highest honor in Scouting! We’re told that the horse has yet to plan his Eagle project.
