We had an absolutely EPIC time at Camp Daniel Boone! As a brand-new troop, we’re so proud of our girls for rising to meet every challenge. Going to Scout camp is not only fun, it’s a place where Scouts can experience deeply impactful personal growth and build valuable physical and interpersonal skills. We will spend the next Scouting year building our troop and hopefully go to camp next year with even more girls! Thank you to our brother troop, Troop 243, and girls Troop 9888 for showing us the way!

Our troops are at Camp Daniel Boone for the week for Scout Camp! We are enjoying the cooler North Carolina weather. Our Scouts had a great first day! We are all going to enjoy a shower and our cots tonight.

Flag Day is a holiday celebrated on June 14 in the United States. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States on June 14, 1777, by resolution of the Second Continental Congress.

Our Scouts have been busy today putting up and retrieving American flags in honor of Flag Day. If you’re in St Augustine or Hastings and would like to sign up to receive a flag on patriotic holidays, please follow the link in the comments.

On Monday Troop 9243 held its first Court of Honor ceremony. Together with our “brother troop,” we celebrated our many achievements-since forming in March, we have already had three girls achieve their Scout rank! Our members were also officially sworn in as members of Scouting America and given their position patches. Our girls have already done so much in a short time, and we can’t wait to see what they do next!
