Techbridge Girls STEM is good for girls, and girls are good for STEM. https://www.techbridgegirls.org/

Techbridge Girls (TBG) is a unique provider of gender-responsive and culturally-relevant immersive after-school science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and social-emotional (SEL) programming for elementary and middle school-aged girls* and gender-expansive youth. Techbridge Girls is reimagining the way STEM is taught to center the brilliance and potential of Black, Indigenous, and Latina girls and gender-expansive youth. We believe that with these girls’ experiences, values, interests, voices, and brilliance, we can fully experience the possibilities of what a STEM revolution can do for our world.

*including cis girls, trans youth, gender non-conforming and/or non-binary youth who experience(d) girlhood as a part of their journey.

Today is International Women in AI Day!

At Techbridge Girls, we’re helping young people and the communities around them build the skills and confidence to navigate an AI-powered world.

Through AI curriculum, professional learning, family resources, and community partnerships, TBG helps educators, youth-serving organizations, families, and young people build AI literacy and explore how technology can be used responsibly and creatively.

Because the future of AI needs more perspectives at the table.

98 students from all 50 states came together to answer an important question: What should AI look like in schools?
Their recommendations address AI literacy, privacy, bias and responsible use, while keeping human connection at the center of learning.

We love seeing young people not just adapting to an AI-powered world, but helping shape it. At Techbridge Girls, we believe youth should have the knowledge, confidence and voice to influence what comes next.

Should students be allowed to use AI on assignments? What about on tests? Who should teach AI literacy? About 100 teenagers got together to try to decide.

AI can give young people answers in seconds. But the real opportunity is teaching them to ask better questions.

When young people are encouraged to question, evaluate, create, and think critically about what AI produces, technology can become a tool for deeper learning, not a replacement for thinking.
