Our Culinary Employment Pathways (CEP) program is now accepting applications for the August 2026 cohort. This paid training and internship program gives you the skills, experience, and support to launch a career in the culinary field.

What You’ll Gain:
👩🏾‍🍳Professional Development: Hands-on cooking, Food Handlers Certification, resume & interview prep, workplace skills, paid internship
🍅Food Access & Education: Food tours, fresh take-home food, CSA boxes, budgeting & cooking guidance
🪷Holistic Support: Wellness resources, worker rights training, tools for personal growth

Who Should Apply:
🍑 Adults 22+ who are unemployed or working part-time seeking full-time employment
🥑Interested in food and can commit to the full program schedule
🫐Individuals navigating systemic barriers to employment, including those who were formerly incarcerated
🍒Due to program capacity, priority enrollment is given to Oakland residents. Applicants from outside Oakland may be considered based on available space.

Training Dates:
🫑Kitchen Training: August 17 – September 17, 2026 | Mon – Thu, 1–5 PM
🍑Paid Internship: October 5 – November 26, 2026 | Up to 24 hours/week, $21/hr
