The Oakland Youth Chorus, now a program of the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir, was founded in 1974 with a mission to empower youth through music education and performance. ical talents, while also fostering a strong sense of community and social responsibility. Led by a team of experienced music educators and professional musicians, the Oakland Youth Chorus offers a wide range of programs, including after-school and in-school choirs, summer camps, and workshops. The chorus also collaborates with other local arts organizations, performing at various community events and concerts throughout the year.
