🌟🎉 What an unforgettable day at our Summer Match Celebration on Saturday! 🎨☀️ A huge thank you to our Bigs, Littles, and families for making it so special! From painting rocks to tie-dying bandanas, making s'mores, and ending the day with a fun dodgeball game, it was all about smiles and connections! 💚

Big shout-out to our amazing community partners: Young, Gifted and Black (Bay Area 100 Black Men), Kode With Klossy, and Soluna for bringing the joy and engagement! We couldn’t have done it without our wonderful volunteers. Thank you to everyone who joined us! We can’t wait to see you all next year! 💚

Even in times of hardship and change, mentors keep showing up. Big Brother Liam’s relationship with Little Brother Alan is a testament to this.

In our latest episode, we sit down with Liam, one of our most dedicated ambassadors. Liam shares the moving story of his match with Alan, including a challenging nine-month period of silence after Alan’s relocation. Liam’s refusal to give up and the community that supported him is a powerful masterclass in what it means to be “all-in” for a young person.

We had our second annual Career Exploration Day with BDO San Francisco, where Littles, parents/guardians, and Bigs joined us to learn about careers and the Big Futures program. Littles worked with BDO professionals to learn about a variety of career fields and how to continue their exploration after the event. Parents/Guardians and Bigs joined our Senior Manager of Education & Workforce, May, for a special presentation where she shared information about our Big Futures program and resources for college and career support!

We celebrated 3 of our graduating Littles at Asana in San Francisco! Thanks to our amazing Board member Lauren DiNapoli, the Littles, their families, and their Bigs got to explore the Asana office, engage in a special career panel from Asana team members, and bring home some gifts and goodies from the Asana and BBBSBA teams. We're so proud of our Littles' achievements and look forward to what they do next. Leave your advice for graduating seniors below!

Mentorship = moments in time that stack up. Those moments become decades.

In our latest episode, we sit down with Eugene, a Big Brother whose journey came full circle. Eugene grew up with a Big Brother of his own, Dirk, and always knew he wanted to give back. Now he’s been a Big to his Little Brother, Alvin, since 2019. Their story was featured in our 2024 Impact Report; it was so powerful it led to Eugene’s former Big to reconnect with him after years apart!

In this episode, we discuss:
✨ Representation & Resilience: How Eugene acts as a "mirror" for Alvin’s Black identity and how their relationship is a testament to resilience.
✨ The "All-In" Rapport: From jumping railings at Oracle Park to catch baseballs to brotherly talks about skincare and hair.

Over 100 golfers showed up for Bay Area youth at The Course at Wente Vineyards for the 11th Annual Golf for Kids' Sake fundraiser, powered by our partners at Syserco - An Energy Management Company. ⛳ Thanks to our Board Alumni Majd Khleif and his incredible team, the event raised $195,000 for our program! We can't wait to share more about how we plan to build our impact throughout the Bay in coming months.
