Our Littles just stepped into their rockstar era 🎸✨

Over the weekend, 10 of our Littles got to be part of a Guitar Build & Lesson Workshop with 3 of our very own BBBSBA Bigs leading the way - Joanne, Parker, & Nick. Littles not only got to learn their first chords with Joanne, and tablatures with Parker; but got to learn about parts of the guitar while building one with Nick! A huge thank you to our volunteer Bigs for sharing their passion for music with the next generation.

As this workshop wasn’t amazing enough, thanks to our friends at Gilead Sciences, every Little got to take home their very own guitar and amp to continue rocking past Saturday!

When a mentor provides a young person a safe space for nearly a decade, they’re empowering the next generation of leaders like Tim.

In our latest episode, we sit down with Tim, a long-time Little Brother and current student at USC. Tim’s journey with his Big Brother, Jeremy, is a masterclass in resilience. It moved from navigating social anxiety in school to advocating for others in the world of political science and law.
