On September 8th, three years ago, a seed of vision was planted. Since then, EGE Foundation has continued to create spaces where young people can explore, learn, lead, dream—and see themselves as part of the future.

Through environmental education, early literacy, workforce development, outdoor experiences, cultural connection, and the power of partnership, our work has grown from Sacramento to communities across California, Texas, and Uganda. Yet every new branch remains connected to the same roots: youth, family, community, and legacy.

Like the redwood, our story is one of resilience, regeneration, and generations rising together. Every young person reached, every family welcomed, every partner who believed, and every door opened has become part of this living legacy.

Today, we honor how far we have come—and step boldly into everything still emerging. The next chapter is already taking root. 🌱

This statewide day of cleaning up is more than just an effort to remove trash. It’s a way to protect our water, air, plants, and animals. You will be contributing information to science, creating awareness about the dangers of marine debris, and strengthening your community by spending time together.

🌊🌿 What an incredible day exploring Point Reyes National Seashore!

Our EGE Out! community came together for a memorable Environmental edVenture, where youth, families, and community members experienced California's breathtaking coastline while learning about coastal ecosystems, marine conservation, wildlife, geology, and the importance of protecting our natural resources.

From scenic overlooks and coastal trails to moments of discovery and connection, participants deepened their appreciation for the environment and created memories that will last a lifetime. Experiences like these inspire the next generation of environmental stewards by making nature accessible to all.

A heartfelt thank you to our longtime partners, the Sierra Club Sacramento Inspiring Connections Outdoors (ICO), for helping make outdoor experiences like this possible.

This trip was made possible through the generous support of the California Coastal Commission and the Ocean Protection Council, whose commitment to expanding equitable coastal access allows more youth and families to experience, learn from, and care for California's extraordinary coast.
