There are so many moments to highlight the impact of community care on our campus. One of the glimmering moments was the Maryhouse Goddess Photoshoot. After their hot showers, ladies got their hair done, donned crowns, and were draped in tulle to be photographed, and ultimately reminded of their beauty and worth. It's easy to take for granted the ability to get ready and feel good every morning, intentional moments like these are more impactful than many of us could imagine.

Community care is about looking after our neighbors and the world we live in. Your support makes it possible for students at Mustard Seed School Sacramento to experience the wonder the American River.

By exploring the water and the trails together, students are learning that radical hospitality isn't just what we do for our guests, it's about making sure we care for the environmental spaces that keep us healthy, and offer a beautiful place to move our bodies. When Teacher Erica walks along the river talking to a student about their thoughts, she is also opening a window to love and respect for one our local rivers.

You can help make community care in nature happen for some of our youngest guests by donating to our Big Day of Giving campaign before midnight.
