COMPANY PHILOSOPHY OF SERVICES

TSE strives to actively involve individuals in their communities. This means providing the opportunity for regular and meaningful interaction with peers who are not disabled nor paid service providers. This means providing a level of independence that celebrates a person's abilities while respecting the person's right to take reasonable risks. TSE provides age-appropriate and functional training in the least restrictive environment. Individual training and support is provided in a manner that respects the person as an adult. While recognizing the person's disabilities, services focus on their strengths and abilities. TSE uses best practices in its financial, personnel, legal and organizational policies and procedures. As a private, non-profit company, TSE must operate in a manner that uses taxpayer dollars in the most effective and efficient manner possible. Health and safety policies and procedures have been established to ensure that the rights, dignity and safety of the people are protected. This includes the necessary supports that acknowledge each person's vulnerabilities, and the respect to allow people to risk failure as they attempt to grow as individuals.

Big things are happening for Sean! He recently started a new job at the City of New Brighton’s Public Works building at the fire station!

Sean has always dreamed of working at a fire station, and thanks to the connection between TSE and the City of New Brighton, that dream is becoming a reality. With help from Jeff at the City, a position was created just for Sean.

Today, Sean helps keep the fire station tidy, contributing to a cleaner, safer work environment for the firefighters. Most importantly, Sean LOVES his new job!

This National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), we’re celebrating what’s possible when employers recognize individual strengths, think creatively about opportunities, and work alongside organizations like TSE to make meaningful employment happen.

We are proud to celebrate Lynne Megan, TSE, Inc. CEO/President who was honored with the 2026 ARRM Legacy Leader Award.

The award recognizes leaders whose dedication and influence have made a lasting impact on the disability services field and the people they serve. Lynne was recognized for her 46 years of service in the disability services field and her decades of leadership, advocacy, and involvement with ARRM.

Lynne shared this special recognition with members of the TSE Leadership Team, as well as her husband, Kevin Megan, Ramsey County Commissioner Mary Jo McGuire, and friends Kathy and Steve, who joined her for the awards ceremony.

Congratulations, Lynne, on this well-deserved honor! We are grateful for your leadership and your continued commitment to enriching lives through employment and community connections.

Meet Matt, who recently started a new job at MTF Inc. in St. Paul, a nonprofit that supports people with developmental disabilities and promotes independence and community connection.

Starting a new job can be exciting, challenging and full of possibilities. We're excited to celebrate Matt and this new chapter as part of NDEAM 2026: Celebrating Value and Talent.

For Matt, this is the beginning of a new opportunity to learn, build skills, meet coworkers and contribute as part of a team.
