Yesterday, St. Paul mayor Kaohly Her and other community leaders joined Salvation Army officers, staff and volunteers for the dedication of Hope Market - a new food pantry at the West 7th Salvation Army in St. Paul.
Hope Market will serve hundreds of local families, providing a more welcoming and inviting way to help meet the needs of the community. It’s a place where individuals and families can pick out the food they need, creating a shopping experience that promotes choice, dignity, and hope.

Last week, our community came together in Minneapolis to stand united against human trafficking.
Hosted by our local Anti-Human Trafficking Ministry Committee and leadership from the Northeast Minneapolis Salvation Army, this gathering brought together law enforcement, firefighters, nonprofit organizations, faith communities, and other local partners for a time of prayer, awareness, and connection.
Together, we prayed for victims and survivors of human trafficking, for those working to combat exploitation, and for wisdom, strength, and protection for those serving our community.
Human trafficking is happening in our communities, and it takes all of us working together to raise awareness, support survivors, and stand against exploitation.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and to those who continue to be part of this important work. Together, we can stand for freedom, dignity, and hope.

Today, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and other community leaders gathered to celebrate the completion of major renovations at Salvation Army Booth Manor – a 157-unit senior living facility in downtown Minneapolis.

The renovations – which included new carpet, paint, fire and security systems, outdoor garden, and much more – were funded by two “Live Well at Home” grants from the Minnesota Department of Human Services and your donations to The Salvation Army.

We are grateful for this investment in our residents and our community. Thank you, Minnesota DHS and Salvation Army donors, for helping Booth Manor remain a safe and welcoming place for low-income seniors.

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!
National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 to October 15, 2026. This month is a time to recognize and celebrate the rich histories, diverse cultures, and meaningful contributions of Americans whose heritage traces back to Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
We are incredibly proud to represent so many beautiful cultures and backgrounds from across the world. While our traditions and experiences may differ, we are united by one thing: the calling Jesus has placed on our hearts.

Following 9/11, The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services USA workers and volunteers showed up moment after moment to serve people in need.
