Our mission is dedicated to supporting independent auto repair and collision shops with connections, education, advocacy, and more. We are Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of Minnesota. Founded in 1955, we’re a non-profit organization located in Roseville, Minnesota that is dedicated to supporting independent automotive repair and collision shops throughout Minnesota. We work towards our mission by providing these shops with savings, peer connections, education, advocacy, and providing resources to them — even scholarships. We respect the independence of our members and their unique contributions; however, we believe that independence does not have to mean isolation. With a community of over 700 members throughout Minnesota, our members and organization provide their experience and their support to one another. You have the right to choose a repair shop to fix your vehicle. Once you’ve informed the insurance representative that you’ve selected a repair facility, it’s illegal for them to try to influence you to take it somewhere else. STAY INFORMED. YOUR VOICE MATTERS! 📝

Here’s what every driver should know:
1) You have the legal right to choose your repair shop.
2) Once you’ve told your insurer your choice, they cannot try to influence you to go elsewhere.
3) Scare tactics such as "That shop isn’t on our list" or "Repairs will be delayed" are misleading.
4) The shop you select is responsible for the quality and warranty of repairs. NOT your insurance company.
