Sirens sounded across Israel today as Iran launched a barrage of ballistic missiles in the North for the first time since the April ceasefire.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester stands united with our brothers and sisters in Israel and are monitoring the situation. We are also in touch with our friends in Modi’in. We will keep the community apprised should there be additional developments.

The Federation’s global partners are delivering critical, on-the-ground support to those in need, including emergency equipment for first responders, trauma care, and essential medical supplies.

This past Sunday, our ShinShinim Rochester marched in the Israel Day Parade on Fifth Avenue in NYC, joining over 50,000 marchers and tens of thousands of spectators united in celebration of Israel.

"It was an honor to represent our Rochester community, the Jewish Federation, and the Jewish Agency for Israel. Together, we filled 5th Avenue with Jewish pride and love for Israel."
