RAC NYSCAR October 8, 2026 Luncheon — Hosted by Gallina Development & Harris Beach Murtha.

A BIG THANK YOU to Gallina Development and Harris Beach Murtha for hosting our luncheon at The Metropolitan located at 1 South Clinton Ave, Rochester, NY 14604. Over 70 people attended, and this beautiful building’s 27th-floor event space provided a spectacular setting. Tim Tompkins and Jordan O'Brien spoke on the Rochester Police Foundation and the importance of the group.

Andy Gallina and Francis L. (FL) Gorman, III discussed downtown Rochester’s economy, the new developments and trends Gallina Development is seeing, and ways our community can help make downtown more vibrant and active.
Heidi Zimmer-Meyer from RDDC and Matt Hurlbutt also shared how 2026 is shaping up and highlighted exciting developments—including the downtown core’s population now exceeding 11,000 people!

RAC NYSCAR wishes to thank LLD Enterprises for being our gracious host for our September 10 monthly member luncheon at 2255 East Ridge Road in Irondequoit in Culver Ridge Plaza. Michael A. Smith, LLD’s Director of Leasing, took us through some of the history of the Plaza, successes in gathering strong tenants and making Culver Ridge Plaza a thriving merchant epicenter in Irondequoit. Michael also highlighted other LLD properties such as Panorama Plaza and others that LLD manages.

We would also like to thank our not-for profit speakers Arlene Wilson and Julie DeMersman from the Alzheimer's Association, Rochester and Finger Lakes Region Chapter, with their overview of Alzheimer’s, healthy habits and behaviors for your brain for prevention and their upcoming Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

Thank you to Flaum Management Company for hosting RAC NYSCAR’s monthly member luncheon at 1999 Mt. Read Boulevard on August 20. Our event was well attended at the former home of Special Touch Bakery. Mike Palumbo highlighted the property as well as Flaum’s other offerings. Pete Gillett, also from Flaum, and current RAC NYSCAR President, facilitated time for attendees to have the opportunity to share their real estate Needs and Wants with the group. On July 14, we had our biggest turnout yet to celebrate the 25th Annual RAC NYSCAR Golf Tournament at The Links at Greystone – 100 golfers!!! Great day, great fun and great golf with colleagues and friends. Congratulations go to one of our Davidson Fink foursomes who came in First Place. Our proceeds from the tournament will go to Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity again this year. Thank you to all 29 of our amazing sponsors! We could not have done this without their continued and generous support!!

RAC NYSCAR had a great crowd at our June 18 luncheon co-hosted by Main Street Alternatives, Yaman Commercial Industrial and C & P Properties INC. Our lunch took place at 655 Driving Park Avenue, owned by C & P Properties INC. Guest Speaker Jeff Garcia, Founder & CEO of Main Street Alternatives, along with colleagues from Walton Global, discussed the significance, benefits and available Walton Global offerings for 1031 Exchanges for real estate investments. Mercedes Brien from Yaman Commercial Industrial highlighted the property, and a tour was included. We also had a mini-marketing session for those interested in sharing their real estate “needs and wants.”
