We stand with our BENTE brothers and sisters. But why does it take public pressure for the District to do what it should have done in the first place?
Employees shouldn’t have to go public to get paid, heard, or treated with respect.
RCSD employees: Keep telling your stories. Tell the public what’s happening in your schools, what your classrooms need, and what’s standing in the way of giving students the education they deserve.
The problems don’t disappear just because the Superintendent and his team at Central Office don’t want to hear about them.
SSO Pay Update: If you worked games from the beginning of the year through September 13th, the Payroll Department processed your payment and you should have received it yesterday. SSOs at one school are still awaiting payment. That school along with the 9/14-9/18 games will be in your next paycheck on 10/16.
BENTE has filed a class action grievance on this matter, and will present it to the district this month. The Safety and Security Department is working to improve the process of how your time gets entered to ensure the contractual language of being paid on time is followed.
We believe the your support and solidarity is what moved this process along as quickly as it has, and we thank you for that! We will continue to work to make sure you receive your pay in a timely and fair manner. If you work games and do not get paid, please contact us.
