A Call for Direct Action: Pack the Court, Pack the Street

WHEN: Tuesday May 26th: 9am gather, 9:30 press conference, 11am: Hearing (expected to take place through the end of the day).

WHERE: United States District Court for the Western District of NY, Federal Building, 100 State Street, Rochester, NY 14614

We hope that enough people will attend to show solidarity and support and if the courtroom reaches capacity, a groundswell of supporters outside will have just as powerful an impact. If you have any clarifying questions, email: [email protected]

BACKGROUND:
Dolores is a farmworker, mother, grandmother, and leader who has been detained by ICE since April 22. On May 26th Western District Federal Court Judge V***a will hear evidence from Dolores' lawyers to demonstrate that she was unlawfully detained and that non-citizens like Dolores cannot be ripped away from us with no notice or opportunity to respond.

If you are unable to join us, there are many ways to SUPPORT DOLORES:
Spread the word! Share the invitation on your social media accounts, distribute the flyer (attached) and Invite friends, family, and allies to attend.

Donate to Dolores’ legal defense fund: https://www.gofundme.com/f/bring-dolores-home-legal-defense-fund (link in bio)

"I think you guys are revolutionizing what education should look like beyond just the academic realm." 🏫✨

Education is about learning how to navigate the world. Listen to this teacher explain why our Help Zones are a vital part of the school ecosystem. By teaching students how to use "I feel" statements, step away for a 5-minute breather, engage in restorative conversation, and mediations, we are instilling lifelong conflict resolution skills.

When students have the space to look inward and feel supported, the whole school thrives.

🌱 Help us keep revolutionizing education!
