We truly appreciate the ongoing support of the Regional Prevention Resource Center directors and staff. Provisional data show an approximate 14% decrease in overdose deaths in 2025 compared to 2024 — an encouraging sign of progress. Overdose remains the leading cause of death for Americans ages 18–44, and some states are still seeing increases.
