Congratulations to Dr. Casey Cook, who served as associate director of The Reston Chorale during the 2013-14 season, early in his conducting career. Bravo!

NDC members and fans, it’s official! Guest conductor Dr. Casey Cook, who conducted our recent CARMINA BURANA concert, has been selected as NDC's new Artistic Director, filling the position that Tom Beveridge had recently vacated due to his well-deserved retirement. We are thrilled and excited to have Casey on board and are looking forward to continue making beautiful music together. Congratulations, Casey!

This Memorial Day, we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. We also extend our deepest gratitude to those who continue to serve and to the families who support them with strength and sacrifice. Today we gather for A Star-Spangled Salute — an afternoon of music, remembrance, gratitude, and community.

Each year, The Reston Chorale performs this concert to honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country, as well as the families who have carried the weight of that sacrifice alongside them. On Memorial Day weekend, we remember those who never came home, reflect on the freedoms their sacrifice protects, and thank all who continue to serve — including the spouses, children, parents, and loved ones who support them every day.

Patriotic music has a way of bringing people together across generations. It reminds us of shared history, shared loss, and shared hope. We are proud to continue this tradition alongside the renowned Brass Band of Northern Virginia and our community partners at Reston Town Center.

Join us this afternoon at the Pavilion for music, family activities, and Operation Care Package as we support deployed service members, veterans, and military families.

Join The Reston Chorale this Memorial Day weekend for A Star-Spangled Salute and the kickoff of Operation Care Package 2026.

Since 2015, Operation Care Package has delivered more than a ton of morale-boosting donations to military units serving far from home. This year, we’re partnering with Soldiers’ Angels to send individual care packages to deployed service members filled with snacks, personal care items, water flavorings, playing cards, and more.

During the concert, guests can:
🇺🇸 Create Thank You and Happy Independence Day cards for troops and veterans
🇺🇸 Enjoy patriotic temporary tattoos for kids and adults
🇺🇸 Support deployed service members through care package donations and online giving opportunities
