“They’re 3-0 so far with resounding victories over state-level contender Battlefield, always-tough Robinson and Yorktown. They’ve scored 30 or more points in every game, outgained all three opponents and recorded 23 tackles-for-loss, four fumble recoveries and five interceptions – two of which were returned for touchdowns.”

“The action paves the way for the eventual construction of about 1,000 units of new housing, retail and office space. Deer in Reston

White-tailed deer are lovely to see as we pass through Reston woodlands. They are very common here, with high local densities reaching 40 to 100 deer per square mile. This overpopulation brings risks like vehicle crashes, garden damage, and tick-borne illnesses, making local management and feeding rules essential to follow.

Note that feeding deer is unsafe and illegal in Fairfax County in order to prevent diseases like chronic wasting disease and keep the wildlife wild.

Also, deer are most active at dawn and dusk; stay alert to avoid collisions while driving on wooded Reston roads.
